Morristown pawn shop owner faces 118 counts of violating Pawn Broker’s Act

MORRISTOWN (WATE) – A Hamblen County pawn shop owner was arrested on Thursday afternoon for violating the Pawn Broker’s Act, again.

Owner of Money Man Pawn James Floyd Drinnon, who is already waiting for his day in court regarding 117 counts of violating the Pawn Broker’s Act, was arrested after selling an item to an undercover police officer.

Drinnon posted an item on Craigslist that was supposed to be on “police hold” because it was involved in an existing case, according to deputies.

Drinnon posted at $5,000 bond and is scheduled for arraignment on Friday at 9 a.m in General Sessions court.

The previous charges are now in Criminal Court.
