KNOXVILLE (WATE) – The Knox County Sheriff’s Office says Kenny Desch, 28, is accused of firing multiple times into a vehicle and a house.  Desch is charged with two counts of attempted first degree murder and is in the Roger D. Wilson Detention Facility on  $200,000 bond.

Landyn Metler was hit in the shoulder while sitting in the car. She has been treated at UT medical and released.

Deputies say the shooting happened around 3 Saturday morning at 6406 Lugar Road, and Metler and Desch are neighbors.  Desch left the scene and was spotted in a car by patrol officers around 1 Saturday afternoon.

Desch and another passenger ran during the traffic stop and a perimeter was set up using patrol, Major Crimes, K-9 and airwatch units. Both men were found in the woods and taken into custody.  The second man could face charges unrelated to the shooting.
