Burglary case dismissed against former Knox County inmate attacked by officers

KNOXVILLE (WATE) – A burglary charge has been dropped against a former inmate who was attacked by Knox County Sheriff’s Officers.

Video of the November 28, 2014 incident shows Knox County Sheriff’s Office deputies in an altercation with an inmate, Louis Flack, 52, who was charged with aggravated assault.

One jailer was fired over use of force. Another jailer resigned and two more were disciplined. Since then the FBI has also opened an investigation.

Flack’s attorney said Monday that a burglary charged he was in jail for has been dropped. A hearing on an aggravated assault charge against Flack has been moved to Thursday.
