HARRIMAN (WATE) – Clean-up and demolition of the Miller-Brewer Building has begun, but the Mayor of Harriman warns it may take months before the street is completely reopened.
The historic Miller-Brewer building caught fire in January. Roane County took over ownership of the partially demolished building after the owner failed to pay taxes.

Mayor Chris Mason said he hopes to have demolition and cleanup finished in the next month or two. North Roane Street was closed for safety purposes after the fire. Mason said two lanes will remain closed on North Roane Street until clean-up is finished.
