CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A Clarksville pastor who helped place thousands of signs around the city at Christmas is doing it again for Easter.

Pastor Jimmy Terry of Tabernacle Baptist Church plans to spread 100,000 green yard signs that read “Easter is all about Jesus.”
Terry told News 2 the signs are meant to remind everyone who passes by that the Easter holiday is actually a Holy Day.
He said Christians from across Middle Tennessee are picking up the signs and giving them away.
“They want to lift up Jesus. That’s all it’s about, and at 77, I’m doing all I can to please my Savior,” Terry said.
Last year, Pastor Terry spent $10,000 on the Christmas signs. Once word spread, donations began to come in, covering the cost of the signs.
“I started with 100 signs, then 200. Last year at Christmas we went to 300. My producer asked me, ‘How many do you want this time?’ I asked him how many $100,000 can purchase. He stared at me of course. He said, ‘35,000.’ And I said, ‘That’s what I want.’”
So far, Terry has given away several thousand signs that have been delivered across the state. He told News 2 someone from Knoxville came and picked up 300 signs to take back with them.
“We want to reach the entire state of Tennessee,” he said. “The entire state.”
Donations to help pay for the signs can go to Hilldale Baptist Church – Signs, 112 Louis Lane, Clarksville, TN 37042
