OAK RIDGE (WATE) – The company behind the redevelopment of the Oak Ridge Mall says it is planning to close on the property and begin demolition this June.
James Downs with developer Crosland Southeast says the project, dubbed “Main Street Oak Ridge,” will include Walmart, JC Penney, Belk and a Cinemark movie theater.

The 58-acre redevelopment will include the addition of 225,000 square feet of national retail anchors, shops and restaurants. It also includes 150 multifamily residences, an office building and a hotel.
The mall is set to be completed in the summer of 2016 and open during the fall of that year.
