The first thing that comes to mind when thinking of the car of the future… cars flying through the air… self-operating.
A new study says breathlyzers should be included in that vision.
University of Michigan researchers created a computer model of what would happen if breathalyzer-linked ignition locks were installed in all cars in the United States.
Their model predicted that this one step would drastically reduce the 10,000 drunk-driving deaths on American roads each year.
They also said the move would save thousands of dollars in costs of paying for license suspensions and sobriety checkpoints.
