ELK VALLEY (WATE) – Tennessee Highway Patrol said alcohol may be a factor in a crash that left one dead and two injured.
Troopers said they responded to a crash at 11:18 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of State Highway 297 and Little Elk Creek Road.
Della R. Foust, 33, of Rockholds, Kentucky was killed in the crash and Buford E. Trammell, 54, of Pioneer, Kentucky and Michael A. Kidd, 33, of Jellico were both injured, according to THP.
According to the accident report, a Jeep, driven by Kidd was travelling south on Little Creek Road and attempted to turn eastbound onto State Highway 297.
A Dodge Ram, driven by Trammell failed to yield, according to troopers, and struck the Jeep head-on.
Kidd, Foust and Trammell were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash, according to troopers.

Criminal charges are pending according to THP.
