Astronaut pays tribute to ‘Spock,’ Leonard Nimoy from space

KNOXVILLE (WATE) – Astronaut Terry W. Virts gave earth a Vulcan salute from space as a tribute to “Star Trek” star Leonard Nimoy.

Nimoy’s son, Adam, says the actor died Friday morning in Los Angeles of end-stage chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. He was 83.
