JAMESTOWN (WATE) – Volunteer Electric Cooperative said they worked through the night and into the morning, but are reporting more outages.

Fentress County has 2,700 without power on Monday. On Tuesday, they’re up to 4,400 without power.
Cumberland County is still reporting 16,000 without power.
Officials with Volunteer Electric Cooperative said they understand that multi-day power outages are frustrating for customers, but are urging customers to be patient and prepared.

Around four hundred works are on the job including fifty service crews, 30 right-of-way crews and numerous supervisors and support personnel.
The power provider said a number of local businesses and individuals have donated food and supplies for crews. Volunteer Electric said the outpouring of support is heartwarming.
