A film produced at Austin-East Magnet High School has won the Regional Emmy Award for information and instructional program.

The film promotes the school’s performing arts program. It’s called “Meet the Students of Austin East High School.”

“That’s exactly what you are going to do,” said dance teacher Olivia Riggins. “You are going to see what the kids do here, what they are passionate about and what our teachers are passionate about and administrators. You’ll see a lot of performing arts and you’ll see kids who love what they do.”

Students and teachers at the school say this recognition proves that the school is moving in the right direction.
