KNOXVILLE (WATE) – Officials say they believe a wood-burning stove may have caused a fire that destroyed a North Knox County home Wednesday afternoon.

The fire was reported just before 4 p.m. on Crisman Way.

Officials say the 2,000 square foot structure is a total loss. No one was home.

The cause of the fire is still unclear, but a wood-burning stove is a strong possibility.
