PIGEON FORGE (WATE) – In the biggest renovation since the show’s opening in 1988, the Dixie Stampede is getting a major upgrade to their act.
The dinner show is working to install a state-of-the-art theatrical lighting and sound system, as well as a new music score and aerial upgrade.
“I want to dazzle our guests in 2015 with a completely new atmosphere,” Dolly said. “My team is hard at work creating a new set, powerful new music, lots of amazing special effects and a few other surprises.”
The Dixie Stampede is working to install a high resolution backdrop, that the show’s president hopes will bring the Great Smoky Mountains to life.
“Our guests will be transported into the middle of the woods on a star-filled night without ever leaving their dinner seats,” said Dixie Stampede President Jim Rule.
Rule says the improvements will create a new level of excitement not yet experienced at Dixie Stampede or other attractions in the area.
Although there will be a number of changes, Rule says the heart of the production will remain the same.
The first show of 2015 is scheduled for Friday, February 13. For details on tickets and show times visit www.dixiestampede.com.
