Haunted tours benefit Knox County historic home

KNOXVILLE (WATE) – Haunted Knoxville Ghost Tours is premiering a documentary on the Ramsey House and offering a special event where those interested in the historic home’s history can tour the home with paranormal experts.

The Ramsey House, located in South Knox County is a historic house dating back to 1797. After two years of filming, the house is being featured in a documentary that’s being released on February 28 during a special event at the house.

Organizer said 48 tickets are available for the event and all proceeds go back to help the Ramsey House.

J. Smith, the Director of Operations at Haunted Knoxville Ghost Tours said what makes their tours different is that it’s not just about seeing the history of the city, but learning about the paranormal activity as related to the area.

“I put my passion into it.” said Smith, adding that often times even skeptics turn into believers after his tours.
