Attempted robbery suspect arrested at East Knox County market

KNOXVILLE (WATE) – A man is in custody after attempting to rob a Knox County convenience store.

Ronald Samuel Rosenbaum, 33, is charged with attempted robbery and is being held in the Roger D. Wilson Detention Facility on a $10,000 bond.

Deputies say Rosenbaum demanded money from the clerk at Lee’s Food marketed, located at 7608 Rutledge Pike.

The clerk, according to Knox County Sheriff’s Office, was able to notify law enforcement. When patrol officers arrived, Rosenbaum was found inside the store and taken into custody.

Rosenbaum is being held at the Roger D. Wilson Detention Facility on a $10,000 bond.

In Knox County Rosenbaum has a criminal history that includes attempted robbery, aggravated assault, possession of drug paraphernalia, reckless endangerment, public intoxication, assault, resisting, theft by shoplifting, aggravated criminal trespassing, aggravated burglary, theft, burglary, simple possession, underage consumption, driving charges, and evading arrest.
