Pellissippi students, staff can enter lottery for Obama tickets, no general public admission

KNOXVILLE (WATE) – Students, faculty and staff have until midnight Tuesday night to enter a ticket lottery for a chance to see President Obama, Vice President Biden and Dr. Jill Biden on Friday on the Hardin Valley campus of Pellissippi State Community College.

The Pellissippi community was notified by email that tickets will be awarded based on a random drawing and are only available to students, faculty and staff. There will be no tickets for the general public.

There will be watch parties on each Pellissippi State campus where students, faculty and staff who do not get tickets can watch. Specific information on these events will be announced in the coming days.

President Obama is scheduled to speak about a new initiative to help more people attend college.
