NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Jessi Rae Braswell “doesn’t even like celery soup” so she can only laugh and wonder about why someone left 336 cans of it on the front porch of her east Nashville home.
“I still have no real clue,” Braswell told News 2 Tuesday, less than 24 hours after the discovering the cardboard boxes containing the cans. “I am thinking of contacting FedEx.”
Her story has gotten attention not only locally but on the social media site Reddit where it garnered more than 2,000 comments.
Braswell, who works at a restaurant in east Nashville, told News 2 she will likely donate the cans to a food bank.
Her own best guess is that the soup was meant as an anonymous gift for the women’s transitional program that once operated from the home where she now lives.
Braswell said she is amazed that so many people want to know about the celery soup that suddenly appeared in her life.
