Loudon/Knox County manhunt ends, suspect found in Roane County

LENOIR CITY (WATE) – A manhunt ended Monday afternoon after a man wanted for a number of charges in Loudon County was located in Roane County.

Adam Phillips, 24, was wanted for a number of felony and misdemeanor charges.

Tennessee Highway Patrol troopers spotted his vehicle on Interstate 40 near the weigh station around the Campbell Station Road interchange in Knox County around 4 a.m.

According to Lt. Don Boshears, the suspect refused to stop for the trooper. Troopers chased the man to El Camino Lane off Watt Road, where they started searching for the suspect in a wooded area.

He was later arrested in Roane County.
