LAFOLLETTE (WATE) – The mother of a missing Campbell County woman is looking for any answers in her daughter’s disappearance. WATE 6 On Your Side has been following the since 49-year-old Rhonda Daugherty vanished three weeks ago.
Rhonda Daugherty’s mother Nancy Kitts spoke with WATE 6 On Your Side Tuesday and she said the best Christmas gift she could get this year is having her daughter back home again.
“Just please, whoever knows where she’s at, please, please, I beg you to please let someone know so that they can find her and bring her home to us,” she said.
Kitts said she is near her breaking point after her daughter mysteriously vanished. She and Rhonda had a close relationship and said Rhonda would call her every day.
When Kitts didn’t hear from Rhonda back in early December, she knew something was wrong.
“You get up every morning and it’s just like there’s no point in the day. I mean she was my life, my daughter,” said Kitts.
Rhonda’s parents are relying on faith, family, and friends to get through each day. Posters and yellow ribbons can be seen throughout the Campbell County community to remind people that Rhonda is still out there.
“I guess I’m just asking for a miracle. I’m asking for somebody, this is Christmas, whoever got her, that’s the person that knows where’s she’s at. I hope they reach deep in their heart and have a heart to let us know something,” said Kitts.
They believe someone took Daugherty. All her parents are asking for is to have their daughter back at home in time for Christmas.
“She means so much to me in my life. I just don’t know how to go on without her,” said Kitts.
Kitts also told WATE 6 On Your Side she believes her daughter is still alive. As for the investigation, Campbell County sheriff’s detectives haven’t identified any persons of interest or suspects in the case.
If you have any information, you’re asked to call 911 or the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office at 423-562-7446. There is a $10,000 reward being offered.
