Hawkins County deputies arrest two men for possessing meth

ROGERSVILLE (WATE) – Hawkins County deputies arrested two men during a traffic stop for possessing meth on Thursday morning.

Officers stopped Shad Michael Weeks, 41, and Matthew Johaan Green, 25, on Highway 11-W near Surgoinsville Market.

During the traffic stop, officers say they recovered a two small bags of a clear, crystal-like substance, believed to be “Ice” Methamphetamine. They also found several empty small plastic baggies, digital scales, pipes and syringes.

Weeks and Green were placed in custody and transported to Hawkins County Jail where they are being processed for charges.

Weeks is facing charges for driving left of center, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving in possession of methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver.

Green is facing charges for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The vehicle was taken through the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security.
