KNOXVILLE (WATE) – A driver was pronounced dead Friday morning after his vehicle crashed into a mobile home on Norris Freeway.
The Knox County Sheriff’s Office says a silver Toyota Camry driven by Thomas Jackson, 76, was going southbound around 9 a.m. when it left the roadway and crashed into a mobile home at 7815 Norris Freeway.
Jackson was taken to UT Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Deputies say he was wearing a seat belt.
While the cause of the crash is under investigation, neither drugs nor alcohol appear to be factors.
