4 Knoxville restaurants earn perfect health scores

KNOXVILLE (WATE) – Two restaurants that recently received failing health inspection grades were reinspected and did much better this time. There were also several perfect scores this week.

Reinspections:

When a restaurant receives a failing health score, a reinspection is scheduled usually within several weeks.

  • Lenny’s Sub Shop, 522 Gay Street – Grade: 69 96

  • Dapper Dogz, Downtown Mobile Cart – Grade: 100
  • Best Western and La Quinta Food Courts, Saddlerack Street – Grade: 100
  • Hardee’s, 338 Chapman Highway – Grade: 99
  • Holly’s Corner, 846 N. Central Avenue – Grade: 99
  • Mellow Mushroom, 635 Campbell Station Road – Grade: 98
  • McDonald’s, 2505 Chapman Highway – Grade: 98
  • Frussie’s Deli, 133 Moody Avenue – Grade: 98
  • Panera Bread, 4855 Kingston Pike – Grade: 97
  • Grill at Highland’s Row, 4705 Old Kingston Pike – Grade: 97
  • Waffle House, 7414 Strawberry Plains Pike – Grade: 97

At many of these top scoring restaurants their kitchens are extremely busy, serving lots of people. Those scores of 97 and above are hard to get.
