KNOXVILLE (WATE) – The Better Business Bureau is cautioning potential customers to avoid doing business with a popular online New York based company that sells discounted goods.
Christy from Knoxville asks: “When shopping online, how do you know whether a company is good or not?”
The online company is called NoMoreRack.com. It sells discount jewelry, electronics at a big savings and clothing.
In only 12 months of business, they’ve received an “F” rating from the Better Business Bureau. The BBB’s Jerry Tipton showed us over 1,100 service complaints and over 800 delivery issues from customers across the country.
“Apparently they’ve been flooded with complaints, the last year particularly. They now have 2,400 complaints,” said Tipton.
The company’s website says, “We strive to be the top choice on the online scene,” yet a Knoxville customer has a big complaint.
“Less than 24 hours after she made her order, she tried to cancel. They told her she’d have to wait until she got the product and then send it back,” explained Tipton.
Tipton also shared some tips on what to remember when you order online.
“First thing you do is check them out. Check our BBB reports to see if there are any complaints against them. A good idea is to call the company’s customer service to see if there is a live person. If you can’t, that’s a dead giveaway there might be some problems. Always pay by credit card so you can contest it,” he said.
Over 400 people have had billing and sales issues with NoMoreRack.com. You might want to think twice before going online and ordering something.
