YOU really can make a positive difference in the world. Adult volunteers are needed for Boy Scouts of America programs in Knoxville.
Let's face it, the world is a big place. When we think of all the many things that need to be fixed, it can be easy to feel overwhelmed, to shut down from the overload and just do nothing. But rather than do nothing because you can't do it all – why not do the little bit that you can do exactly where it will do the most good — in your own backyard.
Boy Scouts of America's Chehote District (Great Smoky Mountain Council) needs YOU to step up and make a difference in the life of just one youth. The Chehote District is mainly comprised of the Knoxville Empowerment Zone (EZ) and serves at-risk, disadvantaged youth. Program areas include Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venture Crews, Explorer Posts, and Learning for Life Units.
You can “save the world” – one inner-city youth at a time. And the only place you have to travel is just outside of your own comfort zone. For more information, contact Anthony Ingram, Chehote District Executive, at (865) 588-6514 or write to email@example.com.
